If you looking for a book that explains the basic practices of Islam, such as salat, Fasting, zakat, hajj, and many other things in a comprehensive, detailed manner? This series of translations provides valuable information concretely based on Qur'an and Sunnah. The author presents and discusses a variety of viewpoints on the various matters of practice. This translation of Fiqh Us-sunnah contains 5 volumes in 1 book by the respected scholar, as-Sayyid Sabiq.
From Sayyid Sabiq's Introduction
In dealing with the subject of fiqh, or jurisprudence of the Sunnah, I have recorded what is basic, to the point, and what a Muslim is supposed to know…I say with confidence that I have presented the authentic fiqh with which Allah has sent the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). At the same time, I have tried to make it easier for people to understand and to bring them together [following] the Book and the Sunnah. I have avoided the differences and the wrong practice of blindly sticking to one school of thought. These first five volumes cover the topics of purification, prayer, zakâh, fasting, funerals, dhikr (remembrance of Allah), supplications, Hajj, and ‘umrah.
